You will find some helper toolbar buttons in the add post and post editor, as well as the 10 most recently uploaded pictures as toolbar buttons. Pictures need to be uploaded first using picture upload, and you can upload jpg files of up to 2Mb, and the upload will process these to the standard website size of 720 pixels in width or height. Preprocessed smaller files will be quicker to upload.

You can also add standard distribution maps to posts easily using the markup (if our database tables currently include records for the taxon):
[[dist:species name]]
There is also a page called Locate. You can call this from markup using [[locate:position]] to redirect to a map showing position. See Using the Locate page for details. You can now give grid references for sightings with links to show those locations on the map. You can also use it for general location finding by entering anything in the search box.
